On Sunday April 10, 2011, The Medina Masters Swim Club hosted the
third annual Medina Master Sprint Spectacular, at the Medina Community Recreation Center.
There were approximately two hundred people in attendance including spectators, volunteers, and sixty competitors.
With the help of the Medina Community Recreation Center, Medina MAKOS Swim Team volunteers
and help of community donations, our swim meet was a great success.
All proceeds from the meet were donated to the MAKOS Swim Team.
I would like to offer a "Special Thanks" to the Medina MAKOS Swim Team volunteers
and Medina Community Recreation Center volunteers.
The swim meet went without incident, TWO THUMBS UP.
We can't forget "Thanks" to the members of the Medina Masters Swim Club
that donated their time and services to making the meet a success.
Thanks to those that help organize the meet, down to those that baked something for the meet.
We have been getting email from other swim clubs commending us on what a great job we did on hosting the swim meet.
Other compliments: “You guys have a beautiful facility.”
“My wife swims, I just come here for the food.”
“You guys are really organized.”
“Those two guys that sang the National Anthem sounded good and without music too!”

MMSC has a new secretary as of March 1, 2010. Reva Keaton has agreed to take over for Bob Phillips in that capacity. As you may know, Reva has been assisting the Club with its written documentation, newspaper postings, flyers and photographs. Now she will also be assisting Amro with the meet and handling membership records. Reva has had a lifelong love of the water and swimming. She swam competitively for the Falling Oaks (FOHA) Swim Team from the age of 8 to 18 years old as well as for the Medina High School Swim Team. She joined Medina Masters in 2008 and has enjoyed being a part of the adult swimming community.

As you may have noticed, MMSC has a new logo. The logo was designed especially for our club by Stephanie Keaton, a Fashion Design student-athlete at West Virginia University (and Reva’s daughter). The new unique and modern alligator design with the MMSC lettering can be seen here on our web-site as well as on our new t-shirts. Thank you, Stephanie!
